Add your device

With this option, you can easily add your device to the pulse.eco network. Depending on the type of the device, you will either directly integrate it on the map, or you'll register it and receive configuration instructions in your e-mail on how to proceed forward.
At the moment you can register the following types of devices:

  • pulse.eco DIY WiFi device with the NodeMCU ESP8266 based board
  • pulse.eco DIY TTN LoRaWAN device with the TTN Uno board
  • pulse.eco DIY TTN LoRaWAN device with the TT-GO LoRa32 v1 board (coming soon)
  • existing sensor.community device (coming soon)
  • existing SmartCitizen device (coming soon)

What you need to know before registering

Before proceeding with the registration, make sure that you've read the prerequisites and configuration guidelines in the device construction manual, and also make sure that you covered the FAQ section as well.

In order to register the device, you must be signed in. If you don't have an account, you can create one. The account is needed so that the device can be bound to it. With that, every time when the device is miss-behaving, or the community lead needs more info, you will be notified via e-mail.

What you need to know after registering

When the device is registered successfully, it's set in REQUESTED mode.
When the physical device is properly configured and starts sending data, it will change it's status to ACTIVE_UNCONFIRMED and pulse.eco will start accumulating its data.

  • If your city doesn't have a community lead, the device will be shown at all times. If a community lead is 'elected' in future time, they will contact you for the device details when necessary.
  • If your city has a community lead, they will contact you shortly for details of your setup. Once they make sure that the device is set up in proper way according to the guidelines, they can change its status to ACTIVE. Up until then, the device can be seen on the map only when the "Show only confirmed" checkbox is disabled.
